Privacy policy
Privacy Policy for Gymbro
This Privacy Policy explains how Tavronic handles information in connection with the mobile application Gymbro.
Gymbro is intended for users aged 13 and older. The current version of Gymbro is designed to operate primarily on your device. Gymbro currently does not automatically send your workout data, routines, goals, local statistics, or app usage data to Tavronic.
Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to the Gymbro app and Tavronic's handling of information related to Gymbro. It does not automatically apply to third-party websites, services, operating-system features, app stores, or other products that Tavronic does not control.
Current version and local-only operation
In the current version of Gymbro, Tavronic does not operate a Gymbro user-account system, Tavronic-controlled cloud backup, or Tavronic-controlled sync service. Gymbro's core features are currently available without creating an account or signing in.
Information stored on your device
Gymbro may store information locally on your device so that the app can function. Depending on how you use the app, this may include workout history, exercises, sets, reps, weights, times, distances, goals, routines, progress statistics, notes you choose to enter, and app settings or preferences.
This local information is used only to provide app functionality, such as saving workouts, showing progress, calculating statistics, and preserving your settings. Tavronic does not automatically receive this local app data.
Notifications
If you allow notifications on your device, Gymbro may send reminders or other app-related notifications, such as workout reminders. Notification delivery and permission handling are controlled by Android and your device settings. You can enable, disable, or change notification settings at any time through your device settings. Disabling notifications may limit reminder functionality.
Android backup and device transfer
Depending on your Android version, device manufacturer, and backup settings, some Gymbro data may be included in Android's built-in backup, restore, or device-to-device transfer features. These features are provided by Android, Google, and/or your device manufacturer, not by Tavronic. Tavronic does not receive that backup data. If you do not want Gymbro data to be restored through those system features, you should review your device backup settings and, where appropriate, clear local app data before uninstalling the app.
Information you provide if you contact Tavronic
If you contact Tavronic directly, including by email at privacy@tavronic.com, Tavronic will receive the information you choose to provide, which may include your email address, your name or signature, the contents of your message, and any attachments. Tavronic uses that information to respond to you, handle privacy or support requests, protect the app or users, and comply with legal obligations.
Gymbro does not use direct-contact correspondence for targeted advertising.
How Tavronic uses information it actually receives
For the current version of Gymbro, Tavronic primarily uses information it actually receives from you only if you contact Tavronic directly. Depending on the circumstances, Tavronic may process that correspondence to respond to your request, evaluate app or privacy issues, maintain security, enforce rights, and comply with applicable law.
Where EU/EEA data-protection law applies to Tavronic's processing of personal data it actually receives, the relevant legal bases may include Tavronic's legitimate interests in responding to inquiries and maintaining the security and integrity of the app and related services, compliance with legal obligations, and, where applicable, steps taken at your request before entering into or performing a contract.
No sale, no targeted advertising, no significant profiling
Tavronic does not sell personal data. Tavronic does not share personal data with data brokers. Tavronic does not use personal data for targeted advertising. Tavronic also does not engage in profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects in connection with the current version of Gymbro.
Sharing and recipients
In the current version of Gymbro, Tavronic does not make your workout data, routines, or local app statistics available to advertisers, analytics providers, or Tavronic-controlled cloud systems because Tavronic does not automatically receive that app data.
If you contact Tavronic directly, Tavronic may use ordinary service providers, such as email, hosting, or security providers, to receive, transmit, or store that correspondence. Tavronic may also disclose information where required by law, to respond to valid legal process, to protect rights or safety, or in connection with a corporate transaction if one ever occurs and applicable law permits the disclosure.
Retention
Local Gymbro data remains on your device until you delete it, clear the app's storage, or remove the app, subject to any device-level backup behavior described above.
Tavronic retains direct-contact correspondence only for as long as reasonably necessary to handle the request, any related follow-up, recordkeeping, security, or legal-compliance needs.
Because Gymbro does not currently store your workout data on Tavronic-controlled servers, Tavronic does not maintain a server-side retention schedule for workout logs in the current version.
How to delete data
Because the current version of Gymbro does not store your workout data on Tavronic-controlled servers, Tavronic generally cannot delete local workout data for you remotely.
You can normally delete Gymbro data stored on your device by using any in-app deletion features that may be available, clearing the app's storage through Android settings, or uninstalling the app. If backup or device-transfer features are enabled on your device, restored copies may still exist unless those system-level copies are also removed or backup is disabled.
If you have contacted Tavronic directly and want Tavronic to delete correspondence that Tavronic actually holds, you may email privacy@tavronic.com and request deletion, subject to any lawful need to retain limited records.
Your rights
Depending on where you live and the data Tavronic actually holds about you, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, restriction of, objection to, or portability of personal data, and to withdraw consent where Tavronic relies on consent. These rights generally apply only to personal data Tavronic actually controls, not to workout data stored only on your own device unless Tavronic has access to it.
Tavronic may request information necessary to verify your identity before acting on a request. If you are in Sweden, you may lodge a complaint with Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten (IMY). If you are elsewhere in the EEA, you may contact your local supervisory authority. Residents of certain U.S. states may also have additional rights to know, access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of personal data and, where applicable, to opt out of sale, sharing, targeted advertising, or certain profiling. Tavronic does not currently sell or share personal data for those purposes.
International transfers
The current version of Gymbro does not send your workout or local app data to Tavronic-controlled servers. If you contact Tavronic directly, your correspondence may be processed using standard business providers that may operate in Sweden, elsewhere in the EEA, or in other countries. Where Tavronic makes restricted international transfers of personal data under applicable law, Tavronic will use appropriate safeguards required by law.
Children's privacy
Gymbro is intended for users aged 13 and older and is not directed to children under 13. Tavronic does not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13 in connection with Gymbro. If Tavronic learns that it has received personal data from a child under 13, Tavronic will take appropriate steps to delete that information as required by applicable law.
Security
Gymbro's current architecture is designed to reduce privacy risk by keeping core app data on the user's device. For information Tavronic actually holds, Tavronic uses reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate to the nature of the information and the current size and scope of the service. However, no device, app, transmission method, backup system, or storage environment can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Future features
Tavronic may add features in future versions of Gymbro, including optional analytics for app improvement, crash reporting, online or cloud backup, account-based sync across devices, or other network-connected functions. If Tavronic introduces such features, Tavronic will update this Privacy Policy and all applicable app-store privacy disclosures before or when those features become available. The updated notice will identify the data involved, the purposes, the relevant recipients or service providers, retention periods, applicable legal bases where required, transfer safeguards where required, user choices, and deletion methods.
If Tavronic later introduces account creation, Tavronic will also provide the deletion mechanisms required by applicable app-store rules and law for any Tavronic-controlled account data.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
Tavronic may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If Tavronic makes material changes, Tavronic will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice in the app or through the relevant app-store listing.
